5000 views...and I lost all my pictures

Wed Jul 9, 2008, 7:55 AM
Thank you so much to everyone for supporting my work and getting me to 5,000 views. I really appreciate it :)....

And on a not-so-happy note, my PC crashed yesterday, and I lost everything. At least six gigs of pictures. Ugh. At least I still have my dA submissions, and I need a laptop for class anyway.

---------Edit------------
I got all of my pictures back once we found a way to do some data recovery. Woohoo! I haven't submitted anything in like three months so hopefully that drought will be ended soon:)

So there's this sweet gash in my knee

Sat Aug 26, 2006, 8:28 AM
I was getting ready for a photoshoot, bc I actually had an idea for a pose beforehand....

And I pick up my mirror to do my makeup, and I drop it on my knee. Hooray for liquid stitches!

So, basically, I now have a scar from photography. Which is sweet, 'cause how many people can say that?

Well I for one, like v5

So some people are saying that v5 is 'too sleek', 'distracting', and 'no longer about the art'. I'd have to disagree. I think that now, the whole site looks much more professional and appealing. It looks more put-together now to me. Sure, there are tons of bugs, but what do you expect? ITS A WHOLE NEW VERSION. I really, really don't understand why anyone would leave the site just because there are some kinks in the system. Nothing is perfect. Deal with it :) .

On a different note, I've had several people ask me to do portraits for them, and I'm reallllly excited to do them! Hopefully when I get my new camera I can start expanding my style of shots, mainly I want to do more macros. (My current camera doesn't focus well enough to get super-close.) Enjoy your summer, everyone. Well what's left of it anyway.:sun:

Weeee 1,000 views!

Do photographers...

Wed Jun 7, 2006, 5:22 PM
....get really bad 'crows feet' wrinkles?

I mean, really. I was outside yesterday afternoon taking some lovely photos of the summertime bliss, and my left eye hurt from closing it so much to line up my shots. So it made me wonder...

Can you spot a photographer from their eye wrinkles?

You tell me.

And one more thing for the experienced photographer,

My right eye is severely dominant, and actually sees more green, but less red than my other eye. How can I compensate this difference?
